SSC JE 2019 Eligibility

 

SSC JE 2019 aspirants need to make sure they qualify the required eligibility criteria given on the official website. Eligibility criteria for SSC JE is divided into various subsections like educational qualifications, age limit and nationality. Following are the SSC JE-2019 eligibility criteria for various positions.

Reservation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ ExS / PH etc. categories is available as per the extant Govt.

The available posts are identified as suitable for the following category:

Suffering from disabilities of (40%) and above.

One Arm (OA)

One Leg (OL)

Hearing Handicapped (HH)

Nationality/citizenship: A candidate must be either:

(a) A citizen of India, or

(b) A subject of Nepal, or

(c) A subject of Bhutan, or

(d) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962

(e) An Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa countries.

Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute
Junior Engineer (Electrical) CPWD Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or the State Government.
(a) Junior Engineer (Civil), MES (b) Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES (c)Junior Engineer (QS&C), MES Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or-

I)Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board &

(II) Two years’ experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or-

(I) Three years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board &

(II) Two years’ of experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised institute / University / Board or equivalent or-

(i)Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional-II of the institute of Surveyors (India).

Junior Engineer (Civil) in Central Water Commission Possess a Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institution
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in Central Water Commission Possess a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institution.
Junior Engineer (Civil) in Farrakka Barrage Project Possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institute
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in Farrakka Barrage Project Possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
Junior Engineer (Electrical) in Farrakka Barrage Project. Possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
Junior Engineer (Civil) in Central Water Power Research Station Possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University.
Junior Engineer (Electrical) in Central Water Power Research Station Possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Date of Quality Assurance Naval Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any recognised University / Institution; and Two years’ experience in respective fields i.e. –

Either of the field quality assurance/quality control/ production/manufacturing and testing of marine engineering propulsion systems including turbines, power generation equipment, hydraulic system, as conditioning/refrigeration, pumps values, gears and gear trains, boilers, cranes/winches/load handling devices etc. including knowledge of various standard and their interpretation

Junior Engineer (Electrical) Date of Quality Assurance Naval Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any recognised University/Institution; and Two years’ experience in respective fields i.e.-

Either of the field quality assurance / quality control / production / manufacturing and testing of switch gears, cables, converters, light and light fittings, motors, generators, drives and control systems, airfield lighting equipment, Electronics / Radar / Radio / Telecommunication equipment electro hydraulic system, programmable logic controller based systems, printed circuit boards / instrumentation, software development and validation, network control system etc. including knowledge of various standard and their interpretation.

 

Note: Candidates need to complete their Degree/Diploma before 01 September every year.

Candidates should note that their Date of Birth should match as recorded in the High school and 10+2 / Certificate or an equivalent certificate. Then only the application will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted. Candidates are advised to opt only for such posts for which they meet the eligibility criteria. Permissible relaxation of upper age limit prescribed is mentioned below.
